Transmission #005: SAY IT ANYWAY

September 11th, 2026

The fifth Batter Ups single has landed!

Say It Anyway is an uptempo pop-punk song about stuttering, overthinking every word, and trying to get it out anyway.

Words get stuck. Thoughts pile up. The brain short-circuits at exactly the wrong moment. But perfect timing is overrated — sometimes you just have to say it anyway.

The song comes with a brand-new illustrated comic-book music video, turning all that buffering, stumbling and nervous energy into a little sci-fi pop-punk chaos.

Transmission #004: Hey LØLØ

The fourth Batter Ups single has landed!

Hey LØLØ is an uptempo pop-punk song about writing a song for someone you admire and being just optimistic enough to think they might actually hear it.

The song comes with a brand-new illustrated comic-book music video, starring Douglas Chord as he dreams up the ultimate collaboration with LØLØ — armed with a melody, a lot of wishful thinking and absolutely no social skills.

Transmission #003: Cailee

The third Batter Ups single has landed!

Cailee is a catchy pop-punk song about an impossible celebrity crush, inspired by the ridiculously talented Cailee Spaeny.

The song comes with a brand-new illustrated comic-book music video, starring movie-store clerk Mason Lane and a fictionalized Cailee in a little story involving a mysterious screenplay, a movie premiere and one very lucky fan.

Transmission #002: Baby Eyes

July 31, 2026

Just two weeks after Sonic Boom, it’s already time for transmission number two.

This time it’s Baby Eyes—my take on the Green Day deep cut from ¡Dos!. It’s part of the massive Green Day Tribute Vol. 3 compilation, featuring 56 bands from all over the world celebrating one of my all-time favorite bands.

I’ve always had a soft spot for Baby Eyes. It’s loud, scrappy, a little unhinged, and ridiculously fun to play. It felt like a perfect fit for The Batter Ups, so when the opportunity came along, I couldn’t resist giving it the full retro-futuristic treatment.

A huge thank you goes to Martin Graungaard for mixing and mastering the track. He did an incredible job helping bring this one to life.

Transmission #001: Sonic Boom

July 17, 2026

It has been a very long time since I released any new music, but The Batter Ups have officially blasted off with Sonic Boom — the first single from the upcoming debut album Interstellar Crush.

I started writing the song around six or seven years ago for a Tommy and The Rockets album. The lyrics stayed mostly intact, but the melody changed identities more times than I can count.

After several wrong turns, rebuilds and minor interstellar accidents, I finally dragged it back into the laboratory and gave it the full Batter Ups treatment. The little troublemaker now sounds exactly like it should.
